As part of the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, Riederalp became the meeting point for trail visionaries, planners, and changemakers from around the globe. The trail.summit2025 offered a unique networking format, set against the stunning backdrop of the Aletsch Arena – with perfect weather and a world-class atmosphere.
 

Through presentations, panels, and workshops, we explored key questions:
 

• How does a vision and strategic planning evolve into a high-impact trail project?

• What trends and innovations are shaping the next generation of MTB offerings for municipalities, cities, destinations, and users?

• How can sustainable trail building succeed – cooperatively, economically viable, and in harmony with nature?
   

International best-practice examples, inspiring speakers, and exchanges with key players from public administration, tourism, advocacy, planning, and construction made the summit a hub of learning and connection.

Field excursions to active trail projects and construction sites on the Aletsch Plateau brought theory to life – tangible, immersive, and forward-thinking.

Workshops and panels addressed topics such as stakeholder alignment, planning, construction, operations, maintenance, and governance – all with a focus on quality and sustainability as core success factors.
